For us, developing creative and compelling content has always been about effectively telling stories. After all, it’s good stories and communication that move business, drive sales, make the workplace safer, and educate current and prospective customers.
Lone Peak Productions has been providing effective communication services for successful businesses since 1979. With two studios in downtown Salt Lake City, Lone Peak Productions is an award-winning, full-service creative production company.
Brad, a graduate of the University of Utah, has spent the last 23 years operating and growing companies in a variety of different markets. Brad spent 12 years with Sanford Brands, a division of Newell Rubbermaid where he represented brands like Sharpie, Papermate, Rubbermaid, and Waterman fine writing pens. He spent 6 years as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Provocraft, working with world-wide retailers such as Michaels, Amazon, The Home Shopping Network, Joann Fabric and Craft, and Ideal Shopping Direct. When he’s not at work you’ll likely find Brad on a golf course or watching his kids play soccer.
James became part of the Lone Peak team in 2017 through partnership with Redirect. He studied economics and political science at the University of Utah. James was formerly Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ViaWest, Senior Vice President at Harris & Love Advertising, Co-founder of U235 Interactive, and Director of Corporate Development at Sundance.
James is a digital marketing pioneer and agent of change. The ever-changing marketplace and the opportunities that market creates are what makes James tick. When he’s not talking on the phone or creating Rube Goldberg diagrams on a whiteboard, you’re most likely to find James on a golf course.
After starting Lone Peak Productions in 1979, Bob built the business from a one-man show into Utah’s oldest, and arguably most respected, video production company. Bob has written, produced, shot, and edited literally thousands of productions for hundreds of companies in the region and nationwide. He brings a wealth of experience and has created a company culture that takes pride in projects being completed on-time and on-budget. Bob insists on client satisfaction and a number of clients have worked with Lone Peak for decades.
Outside of the studio Bob enjoys the thrill of skiing at high speed, sailing the Caribbean, and working on home improvement projects.
Paul is the most senior member of the Lone Peak team with more than a decade of experience in the industry. He was hired right out of college after earning a Bachelors degree in Multi-Media Communications Technology from Utah Valley University in 2004. As a producer and video editor, Paul has collaborated on productions as diverse as a weekly TV show about Utah real estate, to training videos for Federal Emergency Management Agency responders.
For Paul, it’s all about connecting the client to their intended audience, and that only happens when you’ve communicated effectively. He believes that with the right concept, and an experienced crew, every project is achievable. Paul has a broad, hands-on knowledge of video production. For many of the projects he works on, he’s responsible for everything from creating the script and storyboard, to animating the motion graphics. He has built up most of his “seat-time” in post-production where his exceptional project management skills ensure that each production is completed on time and on budget. When he’s not clicking like mad at the computer, he’s either tinkering on “Makie” his Subaru STI, reading Sci-Fi, working on a screenplay, or drinking a glass of scotch with the love of his life.
Jeremy joined the Lone Peak Productions team in 2011. He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Cinematography. In the years before joining the company, Jeremy had many video production roles, ranging from freelance editing to building and operating giant robotic arms for feature-length stop-motion animations.
Jeremy enjoys the problem-solving nature of video production, coming up with unique solutions where others are left scratching their heads. Unofficially nicknamed the “Everything Guy,” his broad work experience allows him to easily move past logistical concerns and to focus on the creative endeavors of each project. Similarly, at home Jeremy enjoys creating all sorts of things, whether it’s a painting, a sculpture, a home remodel, or a four-course dinner. He even writes and records his own music with the four instruments he’s managed to fit in his tiny basement recording studio.
In 2013, Lone Peak Productions welcomed Ken as an editor and camera operator. Serving as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve he has achieved the rank of Sergeant. Aside from being a skilled editor, Ken leads Lone Peak’s in-house 3D animation capabilities and continues to innovate in his spare time.
Lauren comes to Lone Peak Productions with a strong background in video editing. A recent graduate from Ohio University, she spent the last four years attaining a degree in photojournalism and a minor in film with specialized study in documentary filmmaking. Before moving to Salt Lake City, Lauren worked for the Pulitzer-award-winning newspaper The Post and Courier in Charleston, SC, and the Ohio Writing Project.
Lauren’s passion is storytelling. Whether it be through photography, video, or post-production editing, she’s ready to bring your vision to life. When she’s not thinking, sleeping, or breathing video, you can usually find her out on the trails for a run or relaxing outside on her hammock.
Stuart joined the Lone Peak team in 2017 through partnership with Redirect. He is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Design in Graphic Design with a minor in Business. While finishing school he worked as one of two designers for The Fiesta Bowl where he helped lead art and creative direction for the organization’s 40+ events. After graduation, he worked for over four and a half years at R Squared Graphic Design and Advertising, a Phoenix graphic design studio, where he directed art and creative projects for over 50 local and national clients. Most recently he spent over a year at a Salt Lake City startup venture, Experticity, where he led the marketing creative and product UI for the company’s products.
Stuart believes that powerful creative design paired with captivating storytelling provides the medium to engage users and elicit change and action. But, above all, he advocates that brands talk to people like actual people, not robots or marketing committees. When he isn’t enveloped by creative thought, you can find him utilizing his excessive height advantage on the basketball court, or having his nights and weekends ruined by his pathetically-inept, but still beloved, Cleveland sports teams.
Renee became part of the Lone Peak team in 2017 through partnership with Redirect. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication with an emphasis in Fine Arts and a Master of Public Affairs with an emphasis in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management from the University of Texas at Austin. Renee previously worked for the Utah Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah, as a political strategist and community organizer, and as a researcher for Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks, and the U.S. Congressional Research Services.
Renee brings project management, expert digital acumen, and superior client relationship building to every campaign she works on. She loves finding new ways to communicate and solicit input through digital media. Renee, her husband, and her son love to take advantage of the outdoors by skiing, mountain biking, and fly-fishing throughout Utah.
Sarah joined the Lone Peak team in 2017 through partnership with Redirect. Sarah graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Studio Art. Most recently, she worked as a campaign manager for a Salt Lake County Council race and prior to that was the Digital Manager for the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office. Prior to politics, Sarah worked at a boutique agency in New York City, where she honed her public relations skills and worked with several clients including Planned Parenthood, Volkswagen and P. Diddy.
Sarah’s background in the private and public sectors has given her a unique appreciation for the complexity of operating within complicated, bureaucratic systems. She thrives on creating more efficient ways to communicate and engage across organizations and with stakeholders and is constantly looking for new ways to promote ideas and brands using a variety of digital tools and through creative content creation. When not staring at a computer screen, Sarah can be found making downtown Salt Lake City her own urban adventure with her chihuahua, Chato, in tow. During the winter, if Sarah is not working, she is most likely skiing.
